Huernia pillansii

A very interesting species. Due to its stems, this succulent is similar to a cactus, colored deep green and having soft, thick needles that turn red in the sunlight. The shoots are 1.2-2 centimeters in diameter and about 20 centimeters long. The stems usually have from 9 to 16 ribs (sometimes more), which makes the cusps extremely densely arranged (almost closely pressed together). The teeth are cone-shaped at the base and taper off almost to the very surface, leaving behind thin, semi-centimeter-long tips so the bush looks fuzzy.
